My Chosen Charities
I have chosen two charities to support. If you would like to sponsor me then please select the charity you are interested in supporting and click on the appropriate 'Just Giving' link on the right of the screen.
Footsteps - During the 20 days on the ice I will take an estimated 212,000 steps (10,600 a day). If I could ask for 5p for each of these steps then I will raise over £10,000 for the following charities.
Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust
Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust's mission is to save species from extinction, and that is exactly what the organisation has been doing for fifty years. While many think halting the terrifying rate of extinction of animal species is a lost cause, Durrell, as a charitable organisation, has made it their mission to do everything possible to protect endangered animals across the planet. With their scientific expertise, dedication and our support more species can be protected from extinction.
Jersey Hospice Care
Jersey Hospice Care is a specialist palliative nursing service which provides holistic care, free of charge, for patients with cancer and motor neurone disease.
They are committed to providing a professional service of the highest standards to all those entrusted to their care.
Jersey Hospice Care is a charity that receives no government funding. Currently they must raise more than £2 million a year in order to maintain their services.
